About the Role


We are on the hunt for a Marketing guru who will drive and manage all our marketing and promotional work. Ideally you have a good understanding of the majority of online marketing disciplines such as social media, content creation, email marketing, website development / SEO and real-time marketing experience.


Naturally, you will be creative, have high energy, be focused on detail and be able to think on your feet. Personality-wise you will be effervescent and passionate about the business. You will thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and are someone that is eager and hungry to learn as you go. Initiative is a word we use regularly here, and we like people who can work things out for themselves, think outside the box and are confident to make their own decisions.


As our in-house marketing manager, you will fill a key role in the company and have a genuine impact on the companies culture, values and growth. You will be creating, implementing and managing cost effective campaigns to enhance our brand reputation and in turn generate relevant, qualified leads to the business. This role will require you to operate on both strategic and practical levels. As this will be an internal marketing role in which the successful applicant will ideally complete most of the work instead of managing sub-contractors.


You will be able to apply your knowledge and experience to help develop and manage a new website build, further develop social media platforms, create content and video work to join the dots and lead to an overall increase in qualified leads and greater brand recognition.


Duties and Responsibilities


  • Content Creation


A storyteller; you can turn any in field experience with clients into case studies, product review, testimonials, web content and blogs with ease.


  • Video Creation and Editing


From time to time we may require you to pull together raw footage and edit, create and upload branded videos for all aspects of the business. Video production / editing experience would be beneficial.


  • Social Media Marketing


An advantage would be having a high-level of proficiency in Facebook/Instagram advertising & scheduling, coordinating and managing social media content calendars and assist in developing and executing content strategies for multiple social media platforms.


  • Website Management


This will include content editing, creation, and updating our website. Both front end content, images, text, video etc; and back end content and basic SEO work to improve the sites ranking with google and usability for the consumer.


  • General Graphic Design & Promotional Material


You will help with photography editing and assist in creating promotional / content material


The Ideal Candidate


Ideally you will have:


  • 3 – 7 years demonstrated marketing experience
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Facebook analytics etc)
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google AdWords campaigns
  • Comfortable working with numbers and processing figures in spreadsheets
  • A sense of aesthetics and a love for great content and witty communication
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in marketing and measurement
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. BCom/BBus degree in Marketing)
